The hair growth cycle consists of three phases: growth, transition and resting. Just like professional laser hair removal, the Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X can only disable hair follicles that are in the growth phase—when
hair is
present in the follicle, whether it's visible or not.

However, not all of your hair is on the same cycle. When treating, some hair may be in the transition phase
(fig. 3) or resting phase
(fig. 4) when
hair is not in the follicle. Therefore, you need to treat the entire area, allow time for the hair to fall out, and wait to see what new hairs grow back in and treat that same area again.
When using the Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X, you need to do multiple treatments so you can treat different hairs as they enter the growth phase.

The Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X is proven to work, but using the device
correctly is essential to removing hair. Simply turn on the device,
unlock the device using the skin sensor, select from one of five comfort
settings, and place the laser tip on your skin. After the Tria Laser 4X
beeps, lift it off your skin and place it back down on your skin about ¼
inch away, so that it overlaps the previously treated spot. Use the new
Pulse Counter on the upgraded digital display of your Tria Laser 4X to
ensure more thorough coverage. With the new Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X,
achieving permanent results is easier than ever!
What the Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X feels like
The sensation varies, depending on the person and treatment area. Some users may feel the sensation of a rubber band snapping on the skin. Others will feel a warm, prickling sensation.
Treatment times
Treatment times vary based on the size of the treatment area. Smaller areas like your underarms take a few minutes and larger areas, like the upper leg, can take 25-30 minutes.

While using the Tria Laser 4X
- The sensation varies, depending on the person, treatment
area and treatment level. Some users may feel the sensation of a rubber
band snapping on the skin. Others will feel a warm, prickling
sensation.
- As the amount of hair in the treated areas decreases, the sensation will also decrease. For this reason, you may be able to use a higher treatment level after your initial treatments.
- Some users experience mild redness that goes away within 24 hours.
During your 3 months of treatment
- After your first treatment, there will be no visible change to the hair. Laser hair removal does not cause hair to immediately fall out.
- After your second treatment, see up to a 70% reduction in hair re-growth.
- With additional treatments, there will be a gradual reduction in the number of hairs with each treatment.
- The hair that does regrow will also begin to lighten and become finer.
After 3 months of treatment
- Hair follicles that have been deactivated by the Tria Laser 4X will not grow back.
- Do occasional touch-ups or additional treatments if necessary.
